In a world that is consumed by vanity,and the aspirations of the newest, hottest, latest and greatest things, a sacred time like the Christmas season can be and is often overlooked for what it truly is. This is a season of love. A season of giving. A season of joy. A season of family.It is a time to reflect on the greatest gifts that our Father in Heaven has so lovingly bestowed upon us, not only the gift of His Son and our Redeemer Jesus Christ, but also the gift that we enjoy each and everyday-our own lives.
I know that it is during this holiday season that many families and very dear friends gather together to share each others company and sip from the cups of joy and love as they dine in the den of reminiscent Christmases or holidays past. Through times like these, sports is a glue that often brings families or friends closer together and I am greatful for that. I look forward to watching the NBA kick off it’s brand new season, the NCAA bowl games and the occasional golf matches alongside my family and friends this Christmas. Through sports our faith can be restored, we can be uplifted and inspired to new levels of commitment, dedication and courage. I honestly and sincerely hope and pray that You and Yours have a wonderful, MERRY CHRISTMAS and happy holiday season filled with peace,love and comfort.
